Even if the Ontario government decides to further extend its stay-at-home order into June, golf courses could safely reopen, says the COVID-19 Science Advisory Table. Calls to the province for golf courses to reopen are growing. Meanwhile, shuttered golf courses in Ontario are losing an average of $9,000 a day from lost tee times and the need to continue to maintain courses without a revenue stream, says Golf Ontario executive director Mike Kelly.
