About 700 Calgary residents have signed a petition in hopes the city will ban gas-powered leaf blowers to reduce emissions and noise levels. Project Calgary, which launched the petition, says noise levels have become a serious issue since more people are working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other large Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa have also addressed the same issue in recent months.
