Other recreational opportunities could help bolster Toronto’s municipal golf courses
Outdoor rinks, trails among proposals
March 7, 2022 By Turf & Rec

Not only will Toronto’s municipal Dentonia Park Golf Course remain open for play to the public, it may provide additional recreational opportunities for the community. Trails and off-season skating rinks are among the recreational opportunities proposed for the property. An open letter from the Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) proposed a master plan for each of the five city-owned golf courses, with Dentonia Park leading the way to create more equitable access to green space. At its meeting in early February, city council agreed to maintain golf operations at the municipal courses.
