New soccer and baseball fields are among the upgrades coming to Rotary Park in Orangeville, Ont.

The Rotary Club of Orangeville has committed $250,000 toward the park’s redevelopment plans. Work is set to begin this spring for the project that will completed in six phases.

The first phase will include water main work with playground renovations to follow in the summer. The remaining phases will include the construction of the new sports fields, tennis and pickleball courts, parking lot, an artificial skating loop and a clubhouse.

The Rotary Club plans to donate $50,000 toward the project this year and fund the remainder over the next six years. The club had previously funded a splash pad at Fendley Park at a cost of $250,000.
