Saanich, B.C. soccer club looks at artificial turf to replace its battered natural fields

The Peninsula Soccer Club in Saanich, B.C. wishes to install artificial turf on a pair of fields after excessive rainfall in recent years left its natural fields in a state of disrepair. The damages forced the club to cancel several games and practices with no alternate place to play. The fields were shut down for almost three months last winter, and time was needed in the summer for new seed to take root.
