Opposition growing against city’s wishes to sell portion of golf course for industrial use
Opponents want entire property as parkland

The City of London’s plan to sell off part of the former River Road Golf Course property for industrial development has come under fire. Opposition is mounting against council’s wishes to provide 15 per cent of the property for potential light industrial use while the majority of the land would be earmarked for municipal parkland. A growing number of people, however, wish to see the entire property turned into parkland.
