Municipal staff recommend closed London golf course be converted to parkland

Course closed due to financial struggles

The recently shuttered River Road Golf Course in London, Ont. is being recommended for conversion to parkland and pathways. The city-owned property shut its doors in 2021 after years of financial struggles, but municipal staff recommend earmarking 85 per cent of the land for future parkland.
