Opponents of planned Montreal artificial turf field want public health review done first
Municipality has already approved the project

Although a new artificial turf playing surface has been approved for a Montreal borough, there are many in the community who say the municipality should freeze plans until a public health review is conducted.
A review of the potential health risks associated with artificial turf is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
The soccer field is to be situated at Mackenzie King Park.
