Municipal, Indigenous, environmental officials look to improve Lincoln, Ont. park

New trees, paved pathways among improvements

August 5, 2021  By Turf & Rec

A Lincoln, Ont. park is the focus of an enhancement plan involving town officials, Indigenous persons and environmental stakeholders.

The parties have been tasked to find a better use for Jordan Hollow park, which is currently a passive green space and a parking lot.

The municipality notes the park has a rich Indigenous history, especially to Iroquoian-speaking tribes who live at the site during the 1600s.

Plans for the park are to include new trees, paved pathways and interpretive additions.
