City residents band together to mow unkempt Edmonton municipal park

COVID-19 has prevented city crews from doing maintenance

Residents of Edmonton’s West Meadowlake Park area have banded together to mow the park’s grass which has reached heights of 16 inches. The city claims it cannot afford to maintain pocket parks this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Frustrated by the unsightly overgrowth, neighbourhoods have taken to the park with their own personal mowers.
