Municipal golf courses open two weeks earlier than last year in Winnipeg

Winnipeg will be opening its city-owned golf courses this season two weeks ahead of its normal start.

April 12 has been designated as the season-opening date, which is 15 days earlier than the courses opened in 2023.

Crescent Drive, Kildonan Park and the Windsor courses will begin to take tee times, starting today.

The spring’s milder-than-usual weather is being attributed for the earlier openings.
