Lack of enforcement against Tillsonburg golf course is complicated, experts say

Law enforcement officials and experts say the reason no charges have been made or fines issued against The Bridges at Tillsonburg or any of the golfers who have been illegally playing there since Saturday, is complicated. Reasons include limited police forces, the time needed to make a case stick, and law enforcement’s desire to opt for an educational and engagement approach before resorting to enforcement. The golf course has been open since Saturday in defiance of Ontario’s extended stay-at-home order.
