Golf course rounds continue to rise at Winnipeg’s city courses post-COVID
Kildonan Park Golf Course sees rounds nearly doubled from same time last season
June 7, 2023 By Turf & Rec

Play on Winnipeg’s municipal golf courses has steadily increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kildonan Park Golf Course reports 8,640 rounds have been played since opening this season, compared with 4,400 from the same time a year ago. Windsor Park has had 7,290 rounds played so far this year.
Tee sheets have been full on weekends and during the latter stages of the week.
During the first years of COVID when many other recreational opportunities were off limits, golf was open for business because it could be enjoyed through natural physical distancing. Many who took the game up for the first time have kept with it.
