Fundraising underway to add two more baseball diamonds to Port Elgin sports park

A fundraising campaign to come up with $1 million for an additional two baseball diamonds at Port Elgin, Ont.’s Lamont Sports Park is underway at the “quiet ask” stage. The first four diamonds from the first phase of the project are set to open for play in 2023. Saugeen Shores vice-deputy mayor, Mike Myatt, said he is confident the fundraising goal can be achieved.
