Growing baseball program triggers need for more diamonds in North Battleford, Sask.

Demand is outpacing supply in North Battleford, Sask. when it comes to baseball diamonds. A growing Battlefords Minor Baseball program has found the existing availability of playing fields is insufficient, and city council has been asked to step in and provide more diamonds. The organization is looking for a fourth diamond at the location of the Kinsmen Diamonds at the very least, or to have an unused diamond at Sakewew High School fitted for baseball.
