Vernon, B.C. baseball diamonds getting upgrades to address player safety

The Marshall Fields baseball diamonds in Vernon, B.C. are getting an upgrade in preparation for the 2022 season. The Vernon Baseball Association is funding the $35,000 project that will cover the cost of repairing potholes, uneven sodded areas and dangerous lips to the facility’s two diamonds. Additionally, the city has earmarked $10,000 toward infield shale and modifications to the fields’ irrigation system.
