A 185-acre parcel of land in Airdrie, Alta. is slated to be developed into a regional park, with 75 acres to be preserved as natural areas. Public input will be sought to determine how best the remaining 110 acres can be used. The city purchased the land for $10.44 million. If the Chinook Winds regional park is an example of how the land can be utilized, it could house baseball diamonds and other outdoor amenities.
