EPA: Lawn care equipment in 2020 emitted pollution on level with 30 million cars

Gasoline-powered mowers and leaf blowers cited among leading polluters

A story recently published by Canada’s National Observer has reported gasoline-powered lawn care equipment, including mowers and leaf blowers, released more than 68,000 tons of nitrous oxides into the atmosphere in the United States in 2020. The data produced by the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Emissions Inventory equates the emissions level with the pollution from 30 million cars. To read the full story, click here.
