Completion of Burlington park upgrades delayed until spring
Sodding, new safety surface installation among improvements

The redesign of Burlington, Ont.’s Forestvale Park won’t be completed until next year as a result of construction delays.
A section of the park’s upgrades was originally expected to be finished this year. The plan was to upgrade and refurbish the hill slide at the park.
The unfinished work involves the removal of the existing hill slide and safety surface to give way to new hill slide play equipment and a replacement rubber surface. Sod installation is also part of the work to be done.
The playground and slide area are to remain closed during the construction period, although the remain of the park will still be accessible. The work is expected to be completed by spring.
