Bermudagrass field installed for Super Bowl game led to plenty of slipping and sliding among players

The Tahoma 31 bermudagrass installed for Sunday’s Super Bowl game was given a failing grade by members of both the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. Eagles pass rusher Haason Reddick called the surface at Phoenix’s State Farm stadium “the worst field” he’d ever played on after players from both teams were slipping and sliding throughout the contest. The turf conditions led to Philadelphia players changing their cleats to start the second half.
