Volunteers install irrigation system at Walkerton course, saving club thousands
Estimated cost savings upward of $150,000

The installation of a new sprinkler system at the Walkerton Golf & Curling Club came in at a cost savings of almost $150,000, thanks to the efforts of about 20 volunteers who did the job for free. “It was a huge job,” club manager Keith Ellis Jr. said. “They put in 185 sprinkler heads.”
