
Aug. 30, 2019 – A group of volunteers who recently spent a day removing large rocks from a Dartmouth, N.S. sports field, spreading the soil and planting grass are ticked off with Halifax Regional Municipality for now charging rent for the field’s use. They claim the region is reaping the rewards of free labour to improve the field that both the city and local school board had refused to supply.
