Thunder Bay painting green dots on treated ash trees in its anti-emerald ash borer strategy

About 800 trees being treated against insect

Green dots painted on ash trees in Thunder Bay do not signify they are to be removed, but denote they are being treated against the invasive emerald ash borer. About 800 of the city’s ash trees are being treated with a bio-insecticide to safeguard them against the insect. The coloured dots will allow contractors to know which trees have been treated.
