Today marks “Thank a Superintendent Day,” which is being celebrated by the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association and other other such organizations from around the world.
The day recognizes those who help keep the game going and enjoyable, and encourages all those who love golf to thank their course’s superintendent and their team.
Golfers and others are encouraged to join in the conversation on social media using the hashtag #ThankASuper.
Among the Canadian superintendents of note is Doug Campbell from the Riverside Golf & Country Club in Saskatoon, who has been with the club for 50 years. He was also Saskatchewan’s first superintendent to win the CGSA’s superintendent-of-the-year award in 2016.
