Southern Ontario golf course opens this week to brisk business amid warm temperatures

Hidden Hills Golf & Country open year-round, weather permitting

As warmer-than-normal February temperatures continue through most of southern Ontario, some golf courses are opening their doors for winter play.

Among the latest to do so was Hidden Hills Golf & Country Club in the Chatham-Kent region which saw upwards of 50 golfers tee it up on Wednesday followed by another 70 on Thursday. With temperatures expected to reach about 13 on Friday, the golf course was anticipating as many as 120 golfers.

A club official says the golf course is open for year-round play as long as the weather permits and conditions are dry.

Carts, however, won’t be permitted in order to protect the course.
