Moths' caterpillars can defoliate trees in no time
June 3, 2020 By The Sarnia Journal
A second and final spraying of insecticide to control gypsy moth populations in the Sarnia area will take place on Friday. Gypsy moth caterpillars can quickly defoliate trees and were found to be a problem in the city last year. The biological insecticide will be sprayed from a helicopter over 64 hectares of land north of the city.
