Second round of gypsy moth spraying scheduled for Friday in Sarnia

Moths' caterpillars can defoliate trees in no time

A second and final spraying of insecticide to control gypsy moth populations in the Sarnia area will take place on Friday. Gypsy moth caterpillars can quickly defoliate trees and were found to be a problem in the city last year. The biological insecticide will be sprayed from a helicopter over 64 hectares of land north of the city.
