Questions of cost loom over proposed indoor soccer dome in Nelson, B.C.

Although a survey conducted last year among Nelson, B.C. residents indicated an 88 per cent favourable response toward the construction of an indoor soccer dome, questions have arisen over building and maintenance costs. What was originally projected to be a $3.4-million cost to build the facility has since risen to $6.5 million. Ongoing maintenance costs must also be factored into the equation which has led to several questions being asked by city councillors.
