August 31, 2021 By Toronto Star

Four First Nations communities and their surrounding areas will benefit from a new soccer field donated to them by the Pacific FC, a professional club which competes in the Premier Soccer League. The team, based in Victoria, B.C., has donated the pitch to the W̱SÁNEĆ School Board, which serves the Saanich people from four communities. The field will be installed atop an existing box lacrosse surface, and is suitable for five-on-five soccer games.
