One benefit of golf’s lockdown: greens are in pristine condition for game’s return
Some courses scrambling to bring back staff for reopening
May 21, 2021 By The Windsor Star

Golfers at Windsor’s Ambassador Club will be treated to pristine greens tomorrow when golf reopens after its provincially mandated five-week shutdown. Course maintenance has been ongoing since Ontario’s stay-at-home order was implemented on April 17, but the absence of play has led to tiptop conditioning. Still, courses in the Windsor-Essex area were caught a little off guard with the announcement that golf could return before its anticipated June 2 date. Courses are now scrambling to bring back laid-off staff in time for the weekend.
