Fredericton man chains himself to tree to prevent its destruction
Aug. 2, 2018 – A man wishing to protect trees from being cut in downtown Fredericton, N.B. chained himself yesterday to a diseased elm tree near the historic Soldiers' Barracks on Queen Street. The man said the tree – that was earmarked for removal – could survive another 10 years with proper pruning and inoculation.
