New threat to hardwood trees arrives in N.A.

Aug. 19, 2019 – If the emerald ash borer wasn’t enough of a threat to trees in Canada, a new tree killer from Asia has made its way to North America and has already been found in a number of Atlantic coastal U.S. states. The spotted lanternfly, which resembles a moth but isn’t one, attacks any species of hardwood tree.
