New ‘softball’ cricket field in Bradford, Ont. on track for a September opening
Field is slightly smaller than regulation-sized field that would accommodate 'hardball' cricket

Work is on track for the completion of a new cricket field at Bradford, Ont.’s Joe Magani Park.
The field is expected to open in September. Both the concrete slab pitch and its artificial turf covering have already been installed. Despite a wet summer, few delays have been experienced during the construction process.
The oval field will be somewhat smaller than a regulation-size field. It will measure 100 metres by 90 metres and will be conducive to “softball” cricket games. A regulation-size field – which measures 140 metres by 150 metres – accommodates “hardball” cricket.
The construction tender, award to Latitude 67 Ltd., was for $99,780.77.
