Much effort and money needed for Winnipeg to reach tree planting goal
Mayor wants one million trees planted by 2040

It’s going to take another $2 million every year to reach the mayor of Winnipeg’s goal of planting a million new trees in the city by 2040. The city’s manager of parks and open spaces says volunteers and corporate donors will have to step up to put 50,000 new trees in the ground every year.
