Montreal making progress in battle against emerald ash borer

City treating about 57,000 trees annually

Montreal’s efforts to stop the spread of the emerald ash borer seems to be working. About 57,000 trees are being treated each year, which seems to be helping. Unfortunately, however, the city has about 1.2 million ash trees, and tens of thousands of them have been culled over the past eight years.
