London city council to deal with recommendation to close golf course

London, Ont.’s River Road Golf Course appears to be on the chopping block once again, and golfers aren’t too happy about it. Later this month, city council will deal with a report from its parks and recreation department, titled, “Recommendation to Close River Road Golf Course.” The president of CUPE Local 107 argues that the case to shut down the city-owned course is likely based on pre-pandemic information, noting it was almost impossible to get on a golf course in 2020.
