
Nov. 27, 2018 – A new round of soil tests conducted at four home gardens in the North Point Douglas region of Winnipeg indicates they remain contaminated with lead. At least one sample’s lead levels exceed national safety guidelines. The areas were tested in 2007 and 2008 – showing they were lead-contaminated – but the NDP government of the time neglected to release any information.
