Work was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic
August 29, 2022 By Turf & Rec

Baffin Island’s Pond Inlet has a nearly completed new baseball diamond, paid for entirely by the Jays Care Foundation. The artificial turf field was installed in mid-August and recently played to a well-received tournament. Construction of the diamond was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some work is yet to be done, including the installation of bleachers and a backstop as well as a turf cover.
