Blue Jays charity covers lion’s share of funding for Nunavut baseball field project

The Toronto Blue Jays’ charitable arm is contributing $46,000 towards the installation of a playing surface, players’ benches and bleachers at Arctic Bay’s baseball diamond in Nunavut. The entire cost of the project is about $55,000, with the hamlet covering costs not provided by the Jays Care Foundation. Workers from Synthetic Turf International will install the turf, and the field is expected to be completed by August.
