Dutch elm, ash borer throw significant one-two punch at Winnipeg

Between the recent arrival of the emerald ash borer and the ongoing battle against Dutch elm disease, about 60 per cent of Winnipeg’s urban tree canopy is at risk. The estimated value of the city’s boulevard and park trees is $437 million.
