Developer claims unfair play after Kelowna council changes direction on proposal for golf course site

A new twist has occurred in the ongoing saga surrounding the Kelowna Springs Golf Course. A Vancouver-based company has purchased the golf course property last year with plans to redevelop it as an industrial complex. But since last fall’s municipal election, in which a new mayor and three new councillors were elected, council has had a change of heart. City staff has been directed to amend the official community plan from industrial to private recreational for the golf course property. It’s left the developer claiming unfair play.
