Property seen as ideal industrial land
August 2, 2022 By Turf & Rec

A Kelowna, B.C. golf course is at the heart of a discussion that will be among the hot topics for debate in the upcoming municipal election. At issue is the Kelowna Springs Golf Course which has been identified as a future industrial site. The city is currently hurting for industrial space and figures it requires 236 acres by 2040. Council members defending the property say local golf courses has been disappearing in recent years and that retention is necessary to give the municipality sufficient recreational options. They argue industrial land can be found elsewhere.
