College makes significant donation toward upgrades to baseball park in Tecumseh, Ont.

St. Clair College has donated $250,000 for the construction of new in-ground dugouts at Bert Lacasse Baseball Park in Tecumseh, Ont.

The cost of the project is expected to be $375,000, leaving the town with only $125,000 to pay.

The dugouts are part of the second phase of improvements at the park. In 2022, a new grandstand, backstop and maintenance garage were among the first phase of upgrades.

Other improvements coming in the second phase include a new artificial turf field and improved lighting. The final completion cost could reach $3.1 million.
