Cape Breton councillor hopes regional municipality can revive neglected sports park
Brown Street park has fallen into disrepair
October 8, 2021 By CBC News

A sports park in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – much of which has been neglected over the years – can be revived if the community gets behind it, a local councillor says. Gordon MacDonald says the Brown Street park was once a hive of activity, but has since fallen into disrepair in many areas, including a ball diamond surrounded by rusted fencing and graffiti-laden dugouts and tennis courts overgrown by weeds and small trees. MacDonald said he hopes enough support can be generated to revive the park.
