The City of Brantford, Ont. racked up a bill of $186,000 in legal fees to defend itself against a group trying to save the Arrowdale Golf Course from being sold. Coun. Dan McCreary said it’s a “shame” the bill must be footed by taxpayers. Legal action was taken by the organization Know Your City after the municipality voted to sell most of the 47-acre nine-hole course property.
