Ash borer may change Halifax landscape significantly

Dec. 10, 2018 – The Halifax region has lost three ash trees so far to the emerald ash borer and further damage will result in a significant alteration to the aesthetics of the area, the municipality’s superintendent of urban forestry says. The eastward-moving insect made its arrival in the area in September.
