West Kelowna’s hilly topography presents challenge in finding new sports field sites
New fields sought to keep pace with city's growth

The growing City of West Kelowna, B.C. is in need of more sports fields, but finding available flat land is a challenge.
The city is known for its hilly topography which limits the availability of proper field space. Draft versions of West Kelowna’s proposed parks and trails master plans are calling for two or three more rectangular sports fields, a baseball diamond and a softball diamond.
Parkland growth in West Kelowna has outpaced has outpaced population growth since 2016.
