Kelowna looking at purchasing robotic painter to line its municipal sports fields

Robot does work in half the human time

December 6, 2022  By Turf & Rec

A $45,000 robotic line painter has been proposed for the City of Kelowna, B.C.’s 2023 budget deliberations.

The machine can paint lines on city-owned sports fields in half the time it takes a human being to do.

Kelowna has 36 sports fields and 28 baseball diamonds that require regular line painting.

The robotic painter utilizes GPS for precision work, allowing more fields to be readied for game play.
