University’s artificial turf field getting a long-overdue facelift after 14 years
Field undergoes more than 80 hours of use a week
March 26, 2021 By Dalhousie University
Wickwire Field at Dalhousie University in Halifax is getting a long-awaited facelift. Installed in 2007, the artificial turf field had become battered from more than 80 hours of use a week from soccer, football, field hockey, rugby, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. The field replacement work was scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due the COVID-19 pandemic. Work is back on track, and is expected to be completed by June.
