Dec. 14, 2018 – Dozens of trees, including several valuable Garry oaks, that were earmarked for removal to make way for sewage treatment piping in a Saanich, B.C. neighbourhood have been spared. In response to an uproar by neighbouring residents, regional officials have devised a new plan to satisfy both ends, but it will come with a price.
