Spring-like weather on Sunday allowed Dorchester, Ont.’s Pine Knot Golf Club to open for play, attracting 160 golfers from across southwestern Ontario.
Temperatures reached 7 degrees Celsius with sunny skies, presenting early spring-like conditions two months ahead of normal.
Golfers anxious to tee off in the morning were forced to wait about a half-hour due to a frost delay, but a steady stream of foursomes followed.
Those who played reported dry course conditions and already green fairways and putting surfaces. Both the front and back nines were open for play.
